OUR MISSION

 

The Mission of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and their Auxiliary is : 


To foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts. To serve our veterans, the military and our communities. To advocate on behalf of all veterans; and to  improve the lives of veterans, service members and their families, and our communities. Our programs are designed to bring needed services, information and assistance to these target group.

 Located at: 1011 Pennsylvania Avenue Saint Albans, West Virginia.  The Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Auxiliary is proud to serve the Veterans and their families of the greater Kanawha Valley.

POST NEWS

Help us Help the Flood Victims!

 

Our fellow citizens in the states affected by the flooding need our help!!

The St. Albans VFW Post 6418 Auxiliary will be collecting emergency items on Monday -October 7 - to be shipped to Relief Agencies in the flooded areas, specifically in North Carolina and Tennessee. 

The collection point will be the American Legion/VFW Post at 1011 Pennsylvania Ave in St. Albans from 10:00 AM till 6:30 PM. 

A list of requested items will follow. Monetary donations will be accepted, pooled with Post donations, and forwarded. 

We also need some volunteers to help unload, package, and store the donations till they are collected by the State Commander for shipment to the needed areas.

Items needed:

Bottled water, hydration packs, toiletries, blankets, shoes, pet food, socks, underwear and other clothing needs, paper towels, toilet paper, non-perishable food, adult and children's diapers, baby wipes, trash bags, feminine hygiene products, and cleaning supplies.
